Along a quiet stretch of coastline, women have been vanishing for years walking a dog at dusk, browsing a shopping centre, cutting through a gym car park after dark. No struggle. No witnesses. No trace. Police call each case unconnected. Families are told, gently, to consider that their daughters might have simply left.

They didn't leave.

They were taken one by one, from the most ordinary moments imaginable by a cult of women who have rejected the modern world, and who believe that breaking other women is a form of justice. Behind gates no map acknowledges, the missing are stripped of their names and remade into something the outside world will never think to look for.

Journalist Talia Voss doesn't believe in coincidence. As she pulls at a thread nobody else has noticed, she uncovers a pattern that stretches back decades and a silence the world has kept for far longer than anyone wants to admit.

Inside the walls, one woman refuses to disappear quietly. Wren Ellery has learned the house's rules, its rhythms, its cruelty dressed as kindness, and she is done waiting to be saved.

Strange Disappearances is a thriller about the women no one thought to look for, and the ones who finally do told, one revelation at a time.
